Are back, new and improved. Mic works, all volumes are up, nothing's muted, still no sound from headphones. I could have it fixed by tonight, tomorrow, OR it could take several days. There's a veritable briar patch of wires between my desktop and the source of the problem at the moment. So, umm, yay? 3 hour Update: Sound is working again. Still no base from the loudspeaker/subwoofer system, but headset functionality is back. This time for good, hopefully.
